We Are Called to Holiness

Beloved,

This past Sunday, we continued digging deeper into the topic of holiness. As we gathered together, we prayed that the Lord would enable us to understand what He desires to teach us in this season. And we believe He is calling us to live lives that are truly set apart.

Last week, we began looking at what it really means to live a holy life. We saw that holiness means being separate—not just in appearance, but in how we live, how we think, and how we represent Christ. Holiness is not about being better than others; it’s about being different because we belong to God.

We said, and we still say today: to be holy is to be set apart for God’s purposes. It means we don’t conform to the patterns of the world around us. We don’t live by the same values or chase after the same things. Instead, we live in a way that reflects the heart of our Father.

As a church, we ask ourselves—are we truly living as people who are set apart? Do our lives show the world that we belong to Jesus? In our speech, our choices, our relationships—do we carry His nature?

This is the challenge we face, and we embrace it—not in our own strength, but by His Spirit. We are not alone in this journey. The Holy Spirit helps us. God has not called us to holiness and left us to figure it out. No—He empowers us. He walks with us. He shapes us.

Let us continue, together, to pursue this life of holiness—not out of fear or pressure, but out of love and devotion to the One who has set us apart. We are His. And we choose to live like it.

Amen.
